Train

This is a breakdown on my painting method. Actually, I'm often not very methodical, but here goes. 
I used a photograph as my base. It shows part of the suburbs of Udine and the plateau that reaches toward the Slovenian Alps . I'm copying it but I know that midway I'll start to improvise and look for the hidden story in the picture. As often as not I don't use a photo to kick off but it's a good way to get going.
